Spreading My Wings And Learning To Fly

It is so nice to be back in Moscow, and to see everyone again. I had a great weekend catching up with old friends. Then school started yesterday. It is so easy to forget how much of your day school takes up. It really is a full time job. When it comes to studying, it is said that for every hour in class that you spend in class you should spend three on your own time. For 11 credits of school classes (actually 13 but 2 of those are pe credits and require no studying) that is 33 hours out side of class so a total of 44 hours a week. That is if I follow their advice, but what student wants to spend that much time stuck in a book when there are so many other great things to occupy time. The internet is a GREAT way to waste time, it is sad how addicting it can be, but it happens to all of us. From checking our e-mail 20 times a day to constantly viewing our MySpace Pages to see if anyone has commented us, we waste a lot of time.

As for classes:

Materials and Specifications - I got the book online for this class only to find out that the teacher changed, and so did the book. So now I have an extra book which I am hoping will turn out to be a great resource if at least one teacher found it useful.

Interior Design Studio - I have the same teacher for this as I do for Materials and Specifications. I did learn however that she graduated from UI with the dual major in Architecture and Interior Design, which is what I am working to accomplish. She seems like a really nice person, and I am hoping that she will be one of those teachers that you can go to as an advisor and friend.

CAD - Haven't had to go to this class yet so I can't really say anything except that it is my earliest class on my schedule and starts at 8 in the morning. Oh man am I SOOOO excited for the early mornings that will cause (ya right!).

Body Toning and Aerobics - We start working out tomorrow so I hope it goes well (side note, I need to remember to pack my stuff for that class).

Architecture Studio - I have a HUGE list of supplies that I need to sort through and decide if I have it already or need to go to the bookstore to buy it. I am excited for the class though, my teacher said it is to be a very fast paced class always forcing us to throw ideas out quickly. This is a skill I need, I tend to spend to much time calculating the smallest details.

Well that is my class schedule basically. Now I must get to work and finish setting up all the items I need on my new laptop. I am pumped to finally have it but remembered how annoying it is to have to restart the thing after every item loads... It has been a long process today!

1. Computer Aided Design, it is basically a drafting class but learning to do it with a computer program.

2. Got the laptop yesterday. William is getting my old one and my parents are using the money he was given to update mine, then they will update his when he really needs a computer

Who are you? How did you get my email address and send me this link? What are you doing in the potato state? Why do you take classes with funny names? (and for the record - CAD stands for Cat Ate Dodo)
